3DSVR-0382 - [VR] Snowstorm Survival: Skin-on-skin heat transfer with Yuna Ogura

While often cited as a masterpiece, this is a title I personally hold very dear. It was through this work that I first discovered Yuna Ogura, and I've been a fan ever since. It really helped me out a lot back in the day. Watching it again, I was struck by how perfect the sense of distance is. Setting aside the finer details, the sheer proximity of Yuna Ogura is what stands out. This level of immersion is still incredibly compelling, and combined with the nostalgia, it really reaffirmed for me that it's a masterpiece. On the other hand, being a 2019 release, you can definitely feel the age of the VR technology. It's a bit tricky to judge that aspect compared to modern titles. Even so, as the work where I first met Yuna Ogura, I still consider it a masterpiece, even with the nostalgia goggles on.

This is often cited as a masterpiece. There are many VR works featuring tents—some with bears or NTR elements—but the simple situation of being stranded in a snowy mountain and huddling together for warmth is the most immersive. It feels like the most realistic way to survive in that situation. Yuna Ogura is cute, so it's still worth watching, but the camera angles and sense of distance are quite poor, and the image quality is lacking. With today's technology, it could be shot much better with improved direction. I really hope they remake it. When it comes to tents, snowy mountain survival is the best. I'd love to see a remake or a series.
