First off, I should mention I haven't actually purchased this. Based on the sample and description, I felt it was 'close, but not quite enough to buy.' Sorry about that. If it's supposed to be a Showa-era drama, the story is way too weak. Even the erotic graphic novels of that time didn't have stories this tame; they were much more wild and gritty. If you're targeting the Showa 40s-60s, every character needs to be trashy, dripping with lust and desire. The yakuza protagonist's girlfriend should be wearing heavy makeup and look like a hostess. The protagonist himself should be cheating with a younger woman who looks innocent but has a terrible personality, while his loyal henchman tries to force himself on the girlfriend behind his back—leading to a messy, erotic, and violent climax. I want a world that frees us from the modern pressure to be 'good people.' Also, please pay attention to the lingerie; it should be red and erotic, like the hostesses in old Nikkatsu Roman Porno films. The Showa drama premise is great, so I look forward to a masterpiece with more depth in characters and plot.
