ADI-004 - The Hidden Secret Life of the Hospital's Elite Prince

I watch quite a lot of BL, but... this is just not it. First of all, the acting is terrible. There are too many unnecessary scenes, yet the story lacks the necessary explanations. The camerawork is sloppy, and the editing is frustrating because it drags out single shots for an annoyingly long time. It's not going for comedy... nor is it serious... and at the climax where the viewer should be most invested, the screen turns monochrome and shifts into a scene that makes you go, 'What is this, a soap opera?'—and it drags on forever. Overall, I had no idea what they were trying to do or where they were going with this.

The acting is terrible, especially the bottom. What a waste of money... If the acting in BL is amateurish, it just doesn't get my heart racing at all.

The actor playing Mr. Okayasu always has that stage-play vibe in every work. I mean, it's just a bit over-the-top (lol). Still, the story is great, and since the director is a woman, you can tell she really understands the fujoshi demographic. It has humor and moe elements, so I liked it. I do wish the sex scenes were a bit more intense, though. It's definitely for beginners. I'd recommend it if you want to enjoy it like a movie. I hope they make more drama-style content like this.

As for the acting... well, it is what it is. There were parts that made me laugh here and there lol. But both of them really gave it their all. The first 30 minutes or so are mostly drama. The sex scenes are mostly just insertion and foreplay, and the genitals are rarely shown. Perhaps because they were catering to a female audience (the director is a woman), I found it a bit disappointing since I prefer to see everything, but conversely, it might be recommended for AV beginners or those who are uncomfortable with seeing the lower body. Also, there's a little bit of dialogue during the sex scenes. Foreplay is focused on the upper body. Since they avoid showing the lower body, I personally found some parts boring, but I liked the sex scenes after the drama (about 30 minutes long). There's about 10 minutes of making-of footage at the end. I hope to see more drama-style works like this in the future.
