A delicate teacher is drugged with chloroform, tries to escape with her mouth covered, but eventually collapses and is raped. Being blackmailed with photos and becoming a sex toy for a wicked student is a classic setup. The opening features a brilliant scenario with high-tension scenes. Her portrayal of sorrow after the rape shows she was already a polished actress. The 3P scenes from the middle onwards could have used more nuance; even if she's being blackmailed, showing a bit more disgust would have been better. Her descent into depravity toward the end feels a bit too passive. Some reviews mentioned 'overacting,' but a 25-year-old with six years of experience wouldn't be able to pull off such over-the-top acting. Kawakami's works would later be hailed as 'never missing the mark.'
