ADN-332 - Marriage blues, the night of intercourse with a newly proposed colleague, Ichiki Mahiro

Mahiro-san has such an addictive cuteness. It's insane how she dives headfirst into a one-night stand despite just getting engaged. Her actively thrusting her hips is seriously hot.

Feels like the man is being taken advantage of, and there's very little sense of marital anxiety or desperation from the woman.

For a title like 'Marriage Blue,' the fiancé feels really underdeveloped. During the scenes, it kept focusing on 'Who does she like more, Eri (her coworker)?' or 'Would Eri do this?' It ended up being a reverse NTR where the coworker was more prominent, and I was really hoping for that feeling of betrayal and sin from falling into marriage blue and cheating on her fiancé. It was a bit of a letdown. I'd love to see a story that doesn't have weird twists and turns, but instead focuses on a woman who loves her fiancé but still falls into marriage blue, feels guilty, and then gets even more turned on by the forbidden affair. It would be amazing to see her internal conflict and the intensity of that forbidden desire. Also, there was a lot of teasing, verbal abuse, and M-play with Mahiro, like making her crawl on all fours and flip over. That wasn't really my thing, as I'm not into that kind of stuff.

The direction and acting really capture the unique vibe of being 5-year work colleagues, but the information about the boyfriend, who's supposed to be her fiancé, feels really thin. They drop hints about him being a businessman and potentially cheating, but skip over the natural details you'd expect to hear in conversation – like what kind of guy he is or how long they've been together. It makes the character feel underdeveloped and a bit lazy. He feels so unreal, like a placeholder boyfriend, and it detracts from the drama's quality. The scene where they end up having sex after a drunken night is pretty raw and I dig it. The awkwardness the next morning and the storyline about rushing into marriage to reassure a single mother are also well-executed. It feels like it could be solved easily if they just broke up with their current partners and got married, but the fact that the story actually delves into that is what makes this work so well. It's a mature drama centered around the tense relationship between a man and a woman who like each other, trust each other as colleagues, have amazing chemistry, and are even okay with penetration, but know they're not meant to be married. The foreplay isn't bad, but Ichikuma Mahiro still tends to look down a lot, and her eye acting isn't strong enough for a drama that relies so heavily on emotion. It's hard to say if she'll improve, but it's a shame she didn't push herself further than her current abilities. She's come a long way since her early, emotionless performances – similar to Mai Blue – and she had great chemistry with the male actor this time around, so it's a shame I didn't get to see her truly break out of her shell.
