The ending is amazing, and I personally loved how it wrapped up. The actress really delivered, and she's super responsive in the erotic scenes. The male actor was good too, and the filming felt calm and well-done. I don't have any complaints about the work as a whole. It just feels like something's missing, like a little extra *oomph* to really get you going.
Ri's body and performance are still top tier. The angles and color grading, the way it was shot... I wish there was more actual sex.
Rino as the book fetish librarian was incredible – that subtle, creeping eroticism was *chef's kiss*. And the librarian getting completely hooked on her… just wow. Even the kissing scenes were incredibly sensual, and the contrast between the young librarian and the older director was a nice touch. Lost a point for the poor video quality, though – it was washed out or too dark. It's unusual for Attackers, they usually nail the visuals.
Just having an actress standing naked is erotic, but add erotic acting to that, and it becomes a pretty erotic work overall. However, we already knew about the ink smell fetish from the beginning, so do we really need the actress to sniff ink in every scene? The books sometimes obscure the actress's erotic body, which is a shame. And, did we really need that ending twist?
*The director is Bungo Maeda. I like this director because he is trying to create a drama. When things go wrong, there are times when it becomes a work that is too flat and smooth, but this is due to various factors such as the compatibility with the script and the mood of the actress at the time, and it is not often that everything meshes perfectly, but this work is able to do that. I'm sure this is one of Maeda's favorite stories. I thought he was really into books because he used the pen name Bungo, but since this work is set in a library, I feel like he's being serious about it. The camera looking through the bookshelves in the library is intriguing. Truly cinematic. The story's starting point, in which he becomes lustful when he smells ink, would have been a running joke in any other director, but Mr. Maeda manages to make it romantic. It was like watching a well-made Nikkatsu Roman Porno. wonderful!
