I'm a fan of Ms. Ogawa, but she doesn't have many great works. Among them, I think this one is well-made. The casting is also quite impressive (?). It would have been better if the acting was a bit more 'natural', though.
A work from back when she was so slim that it's hard to believe her figure has changed this much. The strong dramatic focus and lack of intimate scenes are a downside, but this is probably the best place to see a fresh-faced Okae.
No offense, but was Rin Ogawa this slim, small-faced, and fresh-looking just three years ago? It's so different I almost thought it was someone else. There are some similar-looking actresses in their early 20s today... Yu Kawakami appears as a successful erotic novelist. She spots Ogawa's unique sexual kinks and gets involved in various ways with her... Lately, I've been seeing more interesting works that focus on the distinct scents of individual women or the 'erotic olfactory fetish' related to the sharper (almost beastly) sense of smell women have compared to men. It's common to notice the scent and vibe when entering a woman's room, but a woman's sense of smell (like detecting infidelity) is far beyond that of a man. It would be fun to see more works that genuinely explore these gender differences.
I wouldn't recommend this to people who think 'as long as it's arousing, that's enough.' Conversely, if you consider 'situation' and 'actress's performance' to be important, this is a solid recommendation. It's quite sadistic, but it shouldn't feel too off-putting. It's my first time seeing Rin Ogawa, and I'm practically hooked. Her 'compelling performance'—which feels more like a cinema actress than an adult star—is a must-see.
