All four actresses were alluring, so I think the casting was good. They captured the 'nakai' (inn maid) vibe well, and the acting was fine. If that were all, I would have rated it 'very good,' but there are a few things that bothered me. First, the first actress was 'wearing the kimono collar the wrong way.' This direction is the same as how you dress a corpse in a burial shroud. In other words, while a men's dress shirt collar direction is specific, in Japanese clothing, it's the same for both men and women. This is 'common sense' for any Japanese person. It means the producers and cast on set were all 'ignorant of common sense.' Another thing is, if you're going to use 'nakai' as a theme, you should have included a short scene of them serving dinner to increase the 'realism.' Starting abruptly with the night service scene doesn't really resonate. It could have been a 'very good' work with a little more effort, which is a shame.
