CMN-080 - 酷隷の女戦士 第二章 IMPULSE 罠

I watch this series often, but I'm quite disappointed. Everything felt half-baked, and I ended up fast-forwarding through most of it. A letdown of a release.

It's a training-themed production featuring a masochistic actress like Kaoru Natsuki, but it's completely wasted. They set the mood with the right dialogue, but it's just mindless torment with zero actual 'training' depiction. Just playing around with a nose hook for a while isn't satisfying at all. She falls way too easily for a 'female warrior,' and the whole thing is a letdown. It just left me wanting more.

The actress is cute so it's decent, but each scene drags on and goes nowhere... She's supposed to be high on drugs, but then she's back to normal in the next scene... Compared to similar works, there's less variety in the training and the eroticism feels half-baked. Especially the ending... it just ends with a 'Huh?' feeling. Is it foreshadowing for a sequel? I don't think that works well in AV. By the way, the short-haired actress looks twice as cute with the eye mask on. Her face is small and pretty, so I'm interested in seeing her other works.

The only scenes where they actually put in some effort were the hanging and the irrumatio, though I'm not even sure if the hanging counts as SM. Lately, Cinemagic seems to have gotten lazy, relying too much on sound effects. From the opening scene where she's hit with a tonfa, they just shake the camera wildly and blast 'thud!' and 'smack!' sound effects. She spits something out after the first hit, but it's unnatural that she doesn't spit anything out during the second or third hits in the same take. If she had something in her mouth, couldn't she have spit it out by the third hit? When they do things like this, it makes me doubt the effort put into scenes like the hanging. If it's a female warrior theme, the 'Masochistic Female Warrior' era was better. The recent ones just don't film the offensive scenes well.

The first half gave me chills, but I was disappointed that they relied on drugs. I wish they had cut that part entirely. I wanted them to film it from a more erotic perspective, like the partner saying he wanted to sleep with her after seeing her in a party dress. The ending also felt like indigestion. I don't know how the series will progress, but as a standalone purchase, the story is lacking.
