In the early days, the focus was on the process of seducing women and getting them to undress. Now that the videos are longer and feature more women, that whole 'pick-up' aspect has really faded. I don't think I'll be rewatching this one.
The image quality issues are to be expected since these are older works. I view this as a collection that looks back on history.
I'm a casual fan of the GET series and have been buying Agawa-san's releases consistently. The past actors all brought their own unique flair, and I really enjoyed it. You can feel the history in the aged footage, but it actually feels refreshing. 10 hours, 50 people—it's a solid work with no complaints. You'll definitely enjoy it!!
Looking back at the history since the first installment in 1998, this release features 10 hours of footage across two DVDs with 50 girls, so I picked it up primarily for the volume. Much like a retrospective of a TV show's first episode, it starts right from the opening of the first 'GET!!'. Back then, the pick-up artists were Kazuya Sawaki and Susumu Kenzaki. For the first few girls, there are segments where the two look back at the footage and share their thoughts, but after that, it flows seamlessly from the pick-up to the act itself. Since it goes back quite a ways, the image quality is rough, but I actually prefer the raw, unfiltered vibe of the older footage. For those who have been watching pick-up AVs since back then, this DVD will definitely bring back memories. I have to take my hat off to the current pick-up artist, Yodel Agawa (Yoshi Agawa), who just lets his desires take over, thrusting away and shouting, 'I can't hold it back!'
