The awkwardness starts right from the opening reunion scene. Jun Odagiri doesn't look like Tsumugi's classmate at all. It's obvious that a 48-year-old and a 28-year-old can't pull off this setting. They look like a teacher and a student. No matter how you spin it, the most believable relationship would be an older ex-boyfriend she dated in college. The 'classmate' setting just killed the mood for me.
