There are these image-like sequences at the beginning and end, but they aren't beautiful, they're meaningless… and completely unnecessary. I differ from kazu777 in that I think both the S and M are masters. I do think they're both pros, though. As for the content, there's practically no sense of shame or master-servant dynamic. It's just them going through the motions. The play itself—the whip and candles were fine, but there's no anal. Also, the progression of every scene felt unsatisfying.
