In this type of production, the performers prioritize enjoying the act of filming themselves over creating footage for the viewer, so it's inevitable that it ends up being mostly close-ups. There are plenty of scenes where multiple cameras are used, but it seems they edit out any shot where another camera is visible, which is likely why the final product is just constant close-ups. I wish they would include more wide shots so we can see the whole scene, even if it means catching another camera in the frame. In fact, seeing the cameras in the shot might actually make it more interesting by capturing the atmosphere of the set better. The girls were, for the most part, quite cute.
