HODV-21025 - Rookie Yui Hatano? The Legend's First Debut Experience

The interview is great, and Hata-chan looks so cute when she's shy! It feels like I'm getting to see a side of her that's usually hidden, which makes me happy.

As other reviews have mentioned, the highlight of this work is the interview. The actual play is quite standard; in the first half, she even looks like she's desperately trying to hold back laughter because she's shy (lol). She says her mindset changed after meeting a certain actress, and I thought she meant a great senior, but it turned out to be her ally, OO-yan!? Wait, isn't Hata-chan about two months her senior? (lol) OO-yan is known for her 'god-tier' service, while Hata-chan seems to have a 'salt-tier' (cold/indifferent) attitude at first glance. I suspect that, like the original 'salt-tier' queen, she's actually very passionate on the inside...

The key here is to listen to the interviews you'd usually skip, and to see who they're re-shooting the debut with. Daisuke Sadamatsu has been handling most of these lately, but I just don't feel like he captures the 'debut' vibe. He tends to lean towards the flashy, playboy style like Shimiken or Shinrin Genjin. When Jun Odagiri, who handled the Chika Arimura and Misaki Hatsumi episodes, is in charge, the result is so much gentler and doesn't leave a bad taste in your mouth. Seeing the sample for the April Riko Honda episode, I was genuinely disappointed that Odagiri-san isn't directing it.

This series started with Chika Arimura, and since her performance was quite good, I decided to watch this one too. However, it was a very standard encounter with no real surprises. It just felt like, 'I guess this is what her private life is like.' Hatano often plays the 'nympho' role, so if you want to be generous, you could call this fresh, but if you're looking for raw, unscripted eroticism rather than just a performance, you can safely skip this. One takeaway was her interview, where she mentioned that while she didn't intend to take AV seriously when she started, meeting a certain actress changed her perspective, making her treat her work and fans with sincerity. Hearing that she now enjoys her job and values her fans was worth the watch.
