I had zero interest in Rei Kuruki and hadn't even seen her in 2D. As someone who isn't a fan, I chose this based solely on high ratings, so this is an unbiased review. Bottom line: it's a hit. Rei Kuruki's acting is superb. She perfectly portrays the transition from dislike to being affectionate. Whether it's the lighting or her acting, you really need to see how her expression and the sparkle in her eyes change completely once her attitude shifts. The only downside was the outdoor scene. It was dark, which is realistic in a way, but the awkward lighting made her look less cute, and I couldn't get into it at all. Still, even with that, Rei Kuruki was great.
