With 'Toru Ozawa & Jessica', there's no way it shouldn't be a great work... There are plenty of step-father affairs, but the unnecessary settings and direction here actually hurt the film. The final scene was too cliché. The 'doing it next to a sleeping husband' setup was also pointless. Since they are both talented, they should have just filmed them going at it for real.
