I bought it, but it ended without me ever really getting into it... I wish I could have at least previewed it first...
This is the softest entry in the 1-4 series. I'd normally give it 2 stars, but I'm giving it 3 because the mosaic is thin.
My impression is that it's quite soft. While Sakura-san shows plenty of affection, Kanade-san's reactions are weak. Maybe it's intentional, but the dialogue feels repetitive, mostly just 'I'm embarrassed' or 'It feels good.' Sakura-san has a very mature look, so I wish they had put more effort into her visuals, like giving her straight black hair. The wardrobe variety is also lacking; basically, it's just the school uniform from the first chapter.
Like others have mentioned, the premise is a bit of a stretch. The lighting isn't great either. I watched it because the girl with short hair looked decent, and that part met my expectations well enough. If you're looking for that youthful, fresh vibe, you'll be disappointed.
The content is a very orthodox high school girl lesbian story. It follows the classic trope of a 'boyish girl as the top and a girly girl as the bottom.' The intimate scenes are great, full of that gentle, feminine atmosphere (though it doesn't really feel like a 'first love' story as the title suggests; it feels more like two girls who are already used to lesbian acts). However, the staff's incompetence was glaring. The first scene is shot against the light, which is a huge deductionโthe screen is extremely hard to see. This is clearly a staff error. I was relieved that the second scene onwards was indoors, but the first scene was unacceptable. It ruins the actresses' good performances. That's why I'm docking points.
