Her husband and son, Toshihiko, are often away from home, as if to avoid Chisato, who can't easily cook or boil a bath. Chisato drowns in alcohol to distract herself from her lonely thoughts. One day, Chisato treats herself to special ramen at a liquor store. Although Chisato grimaced, she was impressed by the liquor store and finished it all, thanks in part to the strength of the alcohol.
