I was so impressed by Kusakabe’s work that I bought this as part of the same series. What I liked here was how they clearly established the wife’s sexual desire and frustration early on, which really built up the tension. If I had one wish, similar to Kusakabe’s other works, it would be to spend more time on her blatant lies to her husband while she thinks she’s getting away with going to the cuckold theater, and her nervous behavior. I’d also love to see a scene with her husband at the very end.

It's rare to see a work that divides opinion so sharply. I'm from the generation that experienced Nikkatsu Roman Porno in real-time, and perhaps this is the kind of work I've been waiting for. Back then, we empathized with directors who always tried to capture human nature and sorrow. If you ask whether this is necessary for AV, I have no answer, but sometimes you have to sacrifice something to include the elements you really want. It's a downside that it's dark and hard to watch for an AV, but there are things that can only be expressed that way. I think we should just accept that the director chose that compromise. I've decided to stop classifying this as just 'AV'.
