This work is one part of a series depicting a relationship changing over a long period of time, starting with living with a step-father. The concept of depicting psychological changes over four years is excellent in itself, and the process of the atmosphere gradually changing is captivating. This was my first time seeing Minoishima Megumi, and honestly, her acting left a little to be desired. However, that's more than made up for by her strong visuals. Her fair skin and slender figure look great on screen, and she has a sufficient presence. I felt she might be better suited for drama-focused works that utilize the setting rather than acting-focused ones. The series' signature direction remains consistent, but it lacked the tense depiction of suppressing emotions and going through daily life, as seen in the previous installment (Ichikui Mahiro episode). I wish the psychological depiction had been explored more deeply. As expected from a Madonna work, the overall level of intensity and unpleasant aftertaste is restrained, and there are few forced developments, which is a positive. It's a safe watch for those who dislike the Attackers series. On the other hand, if you're expecting a strong, director-driven, intense play, it might feel a bit bland. Since the series itself is highly complete, I'm looking forward to future developments with other actresses – especially those known for their in-depth psychological acting. As a first work after the transfer, it's a cautious piece, but it's a satisfying work for exploring direction.
