Ririko KinositaA lonely man wanders into 'Shelter,' an izakaya that captures the stomachs and hearts of salarymen. The man's name is Shimoyama. It has been a little while since he first came to this shop as a teacher. His heated gaze is secretly directed not at the food, but at the proprietress, Rin Rin. However, upon learning that Rin Rin is married, a disheartened Shimoyama drinks heavily and falls asleep. He awakens to Rin Rin smiling at him from beside him in the dimly lit interior, saying, "Oh, you're awake..."
The combination of an izakaya landlady and a teacher was a first for me, so I found it quite interesting. The story wasn't too forced, which made it easy to get into. The kiss scenes between the actor and Ririko-san were quite intense. Those scenes felt like more than just acting, which was great. Ririko-san fit into the narrative well and her acting felt natural. I can't help but mention that the actor's potbelly was a bit of an eyesore. She might not be the perfect fit for a landlady, but I admire how she fully commits to any role she's given. I was torn between 4 and 5 stars, but I'll settle for 4 this time. I hope to see more captivating works that don't just rely on sex scenes and avoid falling into a rut.
This was my first time really diving into a Kinoshita work, and it was amazing – starting with a really good kiss and leading into some seriously passionate scenes. It's a little rushed at the beginning, but you can really feel the heat between them. Masterpiece. Definitely a keeper.
