JUSD-247 - 8 Hours of Forbidden Mother-Son Bonding: The Ultimate Compilation

I don't usually watch this series, but omnibus titles are great for finding hidden gems. Akikawa-san and Yamaguchi-san were both great. Yamaguchi-san is fairly well-known, but I hadn't seen her work before. After watching this, I checked out her main features, and they're fantastic.

It's only worth watching if you want to see the actresses' faces. Honestly, many of the individual segments are misses, and since it just accepts anything and everything, the title loses all meaning. I got bored and stopped watching halfway through. Not recommended for those looking for excitement.

I've always liked this series, so I rented it, and it was the right choice. With an 8-hour runtime, the length of each segment feels just right. I really like that they cut out all the scenes with the husband—which are always in these works—and only included the scenes with the son. The large mosaic, a common flaw in Madonna productions, is still annoying, but with such a stellar cast and a full, satisfying volume, it's definitely worth the rental.
