A pampered daughter forced into an arranged marriage with a wealthy heir chooses to run away rather than submit. But her escape leads her straight into the hands of ruthless men. Sold off to pay her father's debts, the once-chaste lady is forced to become a sex slave, spiraling into a life of unbridled debauchery.
Was the lead actress, Yuria Hidaka, in a children's theater troupe or something? It's amazing how much a work can change based on an actress's acting ability. The story is clichรฉ, but her performance in the second halfโthe expressions and the tone of voice when she asks the middle-aged actor (Ken Yamagata) to hold her and initiates sexโis top-tier. Of course, this doesn't apply to those who aren't into the lolita aesthetic.
The only reason I rented this was for Shinobu Ebihara. She's my second favorite actress. Her eyes are just greatโshe has this intense look that makes you feel like she'd grant any wish if you asked her with that sad expression. Yuria Hidaka, who co-stars, has a bit of a 'loli' vibe, which I'm sure appeals to some. Itโs less about the typical excitement you get from Kawasaki's works and more like a literary piece that just happens to feature nudity, wouldn't you say?
