First of all, the male actor they put in a high school uniform is a huge stretch. They should've picked someone else. Plus, the ryokan room is so dingy and dirty—it's basically a cheap guesthouse. They didn't need to force the 'first time' trope; a regular pickup would've been fine. Also, the guide is way too enthusiastic, which just kills the mood.
