I don't think the actresses are that bad (personally, I liked Yoko Mihara, the second one, and Toshie Aihara, the fourth one). However, the acting is truly poor, and the son's amateurish, robotic delivery of lines like 'Mother' or 'Stop it' is incredibly annoying. It would have been much more satisfying if it were just a standard married woman scenario.
