I don't think it lacks practicality at all. My favorite part is the OL (Koyoi Yumesaki) scene. There's a scene where she's attacked by a colleague in the locker room, and another where she's forced while being threatened with a handgun—both are great. The look of sorrow on her face is just perfect.
As others have noted, the story itself is quite interesting. So, unlike a typical AV, I actually found myself fast-forwarding through the sex scenes. It’s not really meant for 'getting off' (though I didn't watch the scenes closely, so I could be wrong...). It was a well-crafted story that even overshadowed the actors' performances.
The story is excellent. However, the erotic scenes just get in the way. If they weren't there, I could just enjoy the story on its own. As for the erotic scenes themselves, I think they're just average.
