MBD-099 - Futari ni Omakase Oneesan ga Shite Ageru DX Tokuno! Jukujo Special

Please forgive the nostalgia-tinted review. Regarding the work, it's a compilation of two titles. It's quite old—likely a standalone video from the Showa era. I had wanted to see it ever since I saw it in a product trailer at the end of another Radix title. I used to check video rental stores for it constantly. To think I could watch it from the comfort of my home! And the quality is quite good (compared to the original tape). Content-wise, you get to enjoy the raw, authentic play of that era. The male actors really finish—or rather, they just let it happen. It's that old-school editing where they have to use whatever footage they have, even if it's short. But it definitely gets the job done. The actresses are working hard, too. You can tell the atmosphere on set was friendly. One actress, I believe her name is Tojo, is my type, so I personally enjoyed it a lot. The music is the same throughout the series, as is the introduction sequence. If you're used to modern productions, you probably won't rate this highly. But since you wouldn't just stumble upon this while browsing DMM, this review is for those who already knew about it or wanted to see it. I'm sure you'll agree with me. Still, where was the demand for this? Is this just DMM's sheer power? I'm surprised the project was even approved. They have almost all the Radix titles, but a video tape release? Personally, I'm truly grateful. I'm so happy! I never thought I'd be able to watch this in 2017. Thank you, DMM! Just being able to watch it is wonderful. This turned into a long post, but that's my review.
