She explains intercourse at length, switching through various positions. It's cute how she tries to objectively convey even her own pleasure to the students as part of the lesson. The class goes well over an hour. Since they couldn't take a break without interrupting the flow, I assume it was a two-period special session. Chapter 2 is the second sex education class, set two years later. It's Ms. Hanasaki's first class back after giving birth, but personally, it felt like an unnecessary addition. This chapter features a male head teacher as her partner, and the sex is between the teachers, with the three students just watching. This time, various toys are introduced, and the content shifts to a male perspective. When Ms. Hanasaki, pregnant again six weeks later, comes to inform the head teacher about her maternity leave, he tries to claim paternity, but she firmly refuses. It’s an interesting callback to her reason for forbidding the male student from the first chapter from seeing her again. The production's commitment to the title 'Danger Day' is conscientious and commendable. Many other works with 'Danger Day' in the title have nothing to do with it at all. However, while the chance of pregnancy from unprotected sex on a 'danger day' is far from 100%, I suppose the 100% success rate is a necessary narrative convenience. Or is it? A story where she fails to conceive a few times before finally getting pregnant would be more realistic. Plus, it would allow for scenes of her having sex with a different student each month until she conceives, which would be more engaging—and perhaps more 'educational' for the students, right? If there were female students in the class, what kind of sex education would that be? Would it just end with showing them the act as a model? You can't get a female student pregnant, and if you teach contraception, wouldn't that contradict the goal of addressing the declining birthrate?
