MTALL-010 - Comedy Camp with Umi Natsukawa: 48 Hours of Jokes and Sex

AV and comedy seemed like a bad mix. Plus, the premise of practicing for a stage act and then having sex with your partner sounded like it would either be a sappy youth drama or a trainwreck that goes nowhere. I watched it with low expectations, but it turned out to be a rare gem (i.e., actually erotic). First, the actress. In the comedy scenes, she wears a tacky qipao (and the jokes are mediocre), looking cute but not exactly a beauty. She's super friendly, but feels like just a drinking buddy. But in the sex scenes, she does a 180. Once the switch flips, she becomes incredibly erotic. A friend who felt like 'one of the guys' suddenly gets teary-eyed and comes at you like a 'woman.' That surprise factor is so engaging. Especially in the cowgirl scene where she keeps her casual attitude but aggressively grinds her thick hips against him—it was amazing. When the male lead (her partner) says 'It's so tight...' during the first penetration, her shy, breathless response of 'I always hear that...' was perfect. The 'gap moe' of seeing a friend be this erotic is huge. She's a natural, which makes it even better. The production team did a great job identifying her strengths and crafting this concept. Repeating the 'practice -> sex' cycle could have been risky, but they pulled it off. (There are even some 'perks' where the director jumps in after the partner steps out, and she just goes with it.) I think Natsukawa Umi is the same actress who hit it big with those 'like a guy friend' or 'hidden big boobs' titles. She's at her best in these documentary-style roles where she can just be herself rather than playing a scripted character. I'll keep following her, but I don't think the drama-style stuff suits her. I docked one star only because I wanted more—it was too short!

I bought this during the sale, and I found it to be a pretty fresh genre. Umi is a great talker and has a lovely smile, so if there are any more multi-partner scenes featuring her smile, I'd love to see them. Looking forward to her future work.

I actually like her more now than in her Sato Riko days. Honestly, this work isn't very stimulating, but you get to see her natural way of speaking and a more realistic side of her, so I'd definitely recommend it to her fans.

Even after changing her name, 'Riko=Umi' remains exceptionally voluptuous. I enjoyed it thoroughly, but I feel the erotic parts were quite sparse.
