While the director's specific physical preferences are present, I think it's an improvement in how they've found and 'awakened' an actress with M-tendencies. Others have pointed out that it's hard-core, but the soft-core route remains unchanged. It's just spanking to the point of demanding a climax, so the actress doesn't actually mind it. Conversely, if you find this hard-core, you're better off avoiding this genre.
