The only takeaway is that Shizuka Kanno was cute. I think I’ve been underestimating her until now. Other than that, there’s no value here. The idea of 're-educating' Katayama was good. But after she successfully overcomes her trauma, to just have her do a 3P again? What on earth was the point of that? The old him would have definitely added some kind of twist here. Back in the VHS era, his footage was razor-sharp. It was filled with a tension that made it impossible to look away for even a second. He demanded high concentration from his viewers. Seeing him show 'footage you can fast-forward through' in the second half made me realize that the filmmaker Tadashi Yoyogi is dead. Now, he’s completely reliant on the tapes and the girls. He’s surrendered himself to the predictable tropes he once despised. Back in the day, fans waiting for his new releases must have been filled with excitement. Thinking that I’ll never be able to experience that thrill again makes me feel strangely melancholy.

The lead in this one isn't Shizuka Kanno. It's a male AV actor. So, don't expect Kanno-san to listen to the CD, become more lewd than ever, and have intense, gritty sex. I mean, she does listen to the CD and performs a lesbian scene with another actress, but that ends within the first 10 minutes. The rest of the time, they just keep attacking a male actor who's been hypnotized. In a sense, it's the reverse of the usual series structure. So, if you're expecting the usual flow where Kanno-san listens to the CD and reveals her lewd true nature, you'll be greatly disappointed. The acts themselves aren't bad, but honestly, I couldn't shake the feeling that I'd been tricked. The rest is up to your personal taste.
