Recent Red label releases have been all about the 'coma' trope, but this one features a conscious character who can't move her body and has her inner thoughts narrated. However, the actress's reactions are so dull that it barely feels different from the coma films. I want to see more vocal and facial expression, but the repetitive patterns get boring fast. Even if it's forced, I wish they'd show more intense reactions or include more variety in what the viewer wants to see—like specific lines or actions. I'd prefer if they played to the camera instead of just the male actor, almost like a POV production.
