It's tagged as being for women, but I actually enjoyed it. While this isn't directly related to 'lady comics,' watching it made me think a live-action adaptation of one would be great. Sometimes you just want a solid plot, a specific situation, and a slower pace of sex. Constant, mindless pounding in AVs gets exhausting. That said, a bit of that is necessary as a spice, and in that sense, I thought this work was good.
I think the women who pay for this are looking for either a 'how-to' or 'aesthetic erotica.' It's crucial that visual beauty is directly linked to the eroticism. In that sense, this work doesn't quite hit the mark. I feel like the know-how just isn't there yet. For example, foreign films have the greatest accumulation of knowledge regarding kissing scenes. Japan has the shoujo manga genre, which is unparalleled globally, and honestly, the sensual aesthetic sense of shoujo manga artists is on par with Hollywood. Lady comics and teen-love genres exist as an extension of that with a decent history, and there's already a wealth of information accumulated about what kind of situations are preferred. I think female-oriented AV has some appeal even to existing AV fans who are tired of high-speed 'sex wrestling.' It's not that wrestling is bad; it's just that there's nowhere else to go because that's all there is.
Be warned, this isn't your typical AV drama. The story follows Keiko Higashino (Miwako Yamamoto), a housewife who suspects her husband Satoshi of cheating. Through Katsuragi, an ex-boyfriend and lawyer she meets at a reunion, she hires a private investigator named Minegishi and confirms her husband is having an affair with a colleague, Yukari Hiroo (Yuko Kano). Desperate, Keiko ends up sleeping with not just Katsuragi, but also Minegishi. What will be the verdict of Keiko's 'infidelity trial'? There are three sex scenes: the first between the husband and Yukari in a hotel bathroom and bed, then Keiko with Katsuragi in a hotel, and finally with Minegishi while Katsuragi is passed out drunk nearby. All are very tame, standard scenes. They are all depicted as 'sex with love,' likely because the film is targeted at women. While the soft approach is fine, it's a shame that the script and cinematography are mediocre and the audio quality is terrible.
