I'm not sure why they put them in fundoshi, but I've got to applaud the adventurous spirit! (lol) Seeing the bulge through the fundoshi is clearly a detail they knew the audience wanted! The director seems to be shooting a lot of multi-person scenes lately, which I actually find pretty useful as a reference when visiting massage parlors.
