The best part of this one, hands down, was the ending. Usually, these end with the girls being discovered by a spirit and devoured after being brainwashed, but this time it ended in a way that contrasted with the initial career aspirations, making it feel like the protagonist actually brainwashed them and made them his own. The barrier series is known for its heavy makeup, but deliberately keeping the ending less flashy while still showing that they've clearly changed was something I really appreciated. I'm not a huge fan of overly flashy things anyway. This is a series I want to see continue forever!! Looking forward to the next installment!

I'd happily give this five stars just for continuing the barrier series, but the makeup and costumes are a real shame. The eyeliner, eyeshadow, and lipstick… they need to be *way* more extravagant for fans of room barriers. The final scene almost reverted to her pre-brainwashed look, and the continuity is a mess. The costumes are too focused on the school uniform thing. I want to see a gal-style or corrupted-girl aesthetic, something genuinely erotic, not just cosplay. I want to feel like she's embraced a worldview where she'd happily wear incredibly revealing clothes even in public. The choker was fantastic, though. That really captured the room barrier vibe. The piercings were on point too. They didn't capitalize on the goodness of the chain corruption, and there weren't any lines showing her devotion to the master ('I'm happy to be a mindless doll,' 'I'm happy to obey my master's orders,' 'I'm happy to offer my friends for brainwashing'). I'm hoping for a return to high school girls, heavy brainwashing makeup, gal-style fashion that isn't restricted by uniforms, lots of master-devotion dialogue, and plenty of subjective close-ups of brainwashed faces.
