This is a live-action adaptation of a manga geared towards women, but it's definitely enjoyable for men too. Actually, I think men *should* check it out. I've been a fan of Akimoto-san since her previous alias, so I bought this just because it was her first live-action work. And I'm so glad I did. The production company isn't SILKLABO, it's a new company called NANA that I've never heard of. I looked it up on X and it seems to be a spin-off from the BOTAN label under the FALENO Group. The original manga is still ongoing and has a pretty long story, but this adaptation only covers the beginning. Because of the 60-minute runtime, there's only one sex scene, but it's *intense*. The drama leading up to it is also really funny, and I was left wanting more when it ended! (Congrats! A live-action adaptation of the sequel has also been announced.) What really stands out in this work is the acting of the two leads (Akimoto-san and Higashigumi-san)! Especially Higashigumi-san – I think this role wouldn't work without him. He's the absolute prince of high-spec male actors. For someone like me with low specs, he's a valuable actor who shows me the kind of shy, flirty behavior from women that I don't normally get to see, and how women want to be approached. And of course, Akimoto-san! She's amazing. (I don't even know what for!) She brilliantly portrays a career woman who's stubborn and a little mean because of love, but is also cute and lovable. She fits the world of the work perfectly, and the actual sex scene benefits from her faithfulness to the character, her own gorgeous beauty, and results in a highly exciting scene. The exchange between the man and woman in this crucial sex scene is guaranteed to be both heartwarming and… well, you know. Now that they've recognized their perfect physical compatibility, I'm looking forward to seeing how these two, who are awkward in love and have a delicate distance between them, will develop their relationship… I'll be eagerly awaiting the sequel.
