I honestly thought it was just a throwaway project, but you can really feel the sincerity of the performers. There's a certain depth to their acting, you know? The other parts felt like they were aiming for an international audience, though.

The lead, Tsukino Luna, has starred in other endurance-focused works, and her acting was amazing as always this time too, but the archery scene was disappointing. The way the uniform was worn was a bit off, and the bowstring was even tied backwards. Archery is a dangerous sport, so maybe they intentionally didn't fire arrows for safety reasons, but there were other ways to express it through directing. I really wish they'd had an archery consultant for the production. (This might be the same with the tea ceremony or kendo scenes as well. I'd appreciate a review from someone knowledgeable).
