It was refreshing to see Reiko Shimura, who usually plays strong-willed characters, and Maki Tomoda, who often plays tragic roles, take on completely different personas in this film. It’s already a star-studded cast, but the intense, sensual chemistry between the two makes it a truly enjoyable watch.
