Yayoi, who got married after an office romance, was nervous about visiting her husband's family home. Upon arrival, she was shocked to see her mother-in-law wearing only a fundoshi. The entire village adheres to this bizarre tradition of wearing nothing but a loincloth. Though she initially resisted, pressure from her father-in-law and husband forced her to strip down and wear one too. At the village party, her exposed figure becomes the focal point of every lecherous gaze in the room.

Even if everyone in the village is wearing a fundoshi, are they really just naked underneath in the middle of a freezing winter with snow falling? That makes absolutely no sense! It would be much more realistic if they wore the fundoshi under a kimono, skirt, dress, or pants, only revealing it during rituals or sex. It's a shame that even with the fundoshi theme, the play was just standard sex. It would've been better if they included SM or anal play. The only saving grace is how they captured the eroticism of the fundoshi.
I watched the sample and stopped it right away. I might pay to see festival workers in fundoshi, but I have no desire to pay to watch the old guys featured in this. It's disgusting. Thanks to the reviewer for the warning.
The fundoshi look was surprisingly good. It's classic, but there's something undeniably erotic about it. Hard to put into words.
I wouldn't have rented this if not for Yanagida-san. The actress has great acting skills, charisma, and movement, so I was looking forward to seeing how things would develop, but the actor lacked the ability to bring it out of her, and the framing felt off, making it a mediocre film. Wearing a fundoshi has a certain aesthetic appeal, but the overall structure was too fuzzy and unsatisfying.
I wish they had made better use of the fundoshi. The way it was worn, it was no different from a thong. Still, there's something about a fundoshi that makes anything seem possible (^_^;). This project requires real acting skills (confusion → being forced → acceptance), so it's a tough one for just any actress, but Yanagida-san handles it well and her body is still beautiful as ever. It's really just a work centered on her. By the way, what's up with the actress playing the mother-in-law? Her lines are terribly delivered. She's quite a mature woman wearing a fundoshi, but she doesn't even get any action. It was so painful to watch. If she wasn't going to have any intimate scenes, they should've picked someone who could at least act.
