Chisato Shoda's acting is superb. The story also had a nice sense of immorality to it.

Surrogacy plots generally fall into two patterns. One is where the mother has sex with the daughter's husband while the daughter watches, gets pregnant, and then they engage in passionate sex after the birth. The other is where they try privately in the bedroom without the daughter, fail, try again, have loving sex without the daughter's presence, get pregnant, and then the mother becomes insatiable after the birth. In the first half's 'witnessed' sex scene, I love the tension of her feeling guilty and trying not to enjoy it because it's a duty, yet failing to resist. After being 'taken' in the kitchen, she fully accepts the son-in-law and becomes proactive. From then on, she shows off the full charm of a mature woman—her beautiful face, seductive gaze, and saggy breasts.
