Actually preferred that it didn't have a 3P scene. Miyazaki Mei looks so cute! The first-person perspective with her looking at the camera was great, and I liked that the male actor's face wasn't shown. Plenty of scenes too, which is a plus.
The visuals are just insane, seriously. And the acting? Hit all my buttons. This is easily the best one I've seen. Definitely a keeper.
Honestly, Miyajima Mei's acting is fantastic and the play is stimulating. However, everything else just falls flat. If you're going to portray Mei as the younger sibling, shouldn't the male actor naturally be cast as the older brother? It starts with the guy being 30 minutes late and not even bothering to call, and he's supposed to be a reliable older brother? From there, the male actor's awkward delivery drags things down, and the camerawork, especially the close-ups, feels off for a subjective perspective. They made a big deal about 'ten ejaculations' in the title, but the ejaculation scenes aren't impactful, making it hard to find any worthwhile highlights. This is a case where even good acting from Mei can't save a poorly executed film. The significance of ten ejaculations isn't derived from the script, composition, or direction. There are too many ineffective ejaculations, and the purpose of the raw vs. condom scenes is unclear. Overall, the direction lacks meaning, and it's just a frustrating watch. Especially the condom-condom-raw sequence... what were they trying to achieve? If they were going to show raw sex, they should have gone all-in. If it was about the allure of protected sex, they should have stuck with condoms. That would have been a more effective portrayal of a man's view of a woman's value. It feels like they're only doing raw sex because they can, and using condoms for the *feeling* of simulated penetration. It doesn't come across as responsible contraception, but rather a man exploiting a woman for his own pleasure. Even though it's supposed to be a romantic story, the guy isn't a 'good man,' not even a 'normal' man. He comes across as a scumbag. So even if the subjective perspective is meant to enhance immersion and empathy, the direction actively undermines it. The setting, script, composition, and direction all hinder immersion and emotional connection, despite the potential for a compelling story. It ends up being a mediocre film. Why set a ejaculation count, make Mei's character unreliable, and create a romance that lacks tenderness and responsible sex? If they had executed those elements properly, it could have been a masterpiece.
You can really feel the director's dedication to showcasing Miyajima Mei's charm beyond just the H-scenes. Her cuteness is just unreal. I was completely captivated. The way her laughter and voice blend with her acting is perfect. I usually only watch my favorite scenes, but I found myself watching the non-H scenes too. No complaints. Top tier work.
