*Although the title is over, the karate is authentic. It's charming that the bat doesn't break in one hit (lol). It has a nice body that makes it comfortable to hold, and it seems to have good sensitivity. 満足でした。
I'm no karate expert, but the karate scenes feel pretty weak. They do roundhouse kicks and such, but are they supposed to be this slow? The sparring scenes lack intensity too. The actual play is quite intense, which is a plus. Compared to other fighting-themed works, they put some effort into the sparring, so I'll give them credit for that. It would've been even better if they'd put a bit more effort into the fight choreography.
The opening fight scene is so intense I was worried they were actually doing it lol. The gap between that and the meeting scene in the second half is hilarious.
