TERA-014 - The Desperate Wife: Making a Choice to Conceive

This was my first time seeing Maki Hojo, and she was excellent. I think this story would work well as a series.

Our very own Maki Hojo takes on the brave role of a mature woman struggling with infertility. Her performance is incredibly endearing, especially the realistic way she balances shyness during treatment with her husband against the challenge of having sex in front of a doctor. Conversely, in the part where she attempts pregnancy using the doctor's sperm, she shows off that bold, over-the-top, quintessential 'Maki Hojo' energy. It's impressive how she can shift her character so drastically within the same role. While the medical procedures are purely fictional, the comedic touches sprinkled throughout—if you take them with a grain of salt—are quite good. There are a lot of procedure scenes, so the actual sex scenes are fewer than expected, but this is definitely a film that makes you want to donate your sperm to Maki!
