URE-002 - Live-Action Adaptation: For Example, Mother

In the opening scene where the actor playing the son is with his sex friend, there's a line about his 'member not matching his cute face,' but was I the only one who wanted to shout, 'He's clearly ugly!'? I know it's not like a regular drama where only handsome guys get the roles, but honestly, that scene left the biggest impression on me. The outdoor scene under the stairs had pretty good chemistry. Being fully naked is great, but seeing Yumi-san being handled while still clothed has its own charm. Even if it's just work, the guy playing the boyfriend gets to be with Kazama Yumi multiple times—he's incredibly lucky. I'm just jealous.

Anyone familiar with the original work will undoubtedly be disappointed. Miharu is an intelligent office lady and a mother; she's a woman who possesses a certain cuteness, struggling between her repressed feminine side hidden from her son and her sexual liberation, yet ultimately returning to love. She is by no means just some trashy, ugly middle-aged woman. If they were going to ruin the work like this, I think an anime adaptation would have been better. It's truly a shame. I hope they remake it properly in a new installment.

Aside from Kazama-san, the acting wasn't particularly great, but the content was enjoyable enough as a drama. It's a good piece that doesn't feel long at all, despite the five-hour runtime.

There are some negative reviews about the lead, Yumi Kazama, but personally, I think it's a great work. I've watched quite a few of her films before, but this one was so good—the intimate scenes were incredibly erotic and satisfying.

Watching a 9-year-old film in 2021, Yumi Kazama is still the best. She must be the #1 actress you never get tired of. If people were bored of her, she wouldn't have lasted 24 years in the industry. She has so many hidden fans. Her dramatic acting is good, and she's great in supporting roles too. She's an actress who will continue to do great things.
