She's supposed to be the wife's sister fleeing a violent husband, but once she starts drinking, she goes full-blown 'bitchy mature woman,' so there's zero sense of tragedy. Honestly, a simple 'staying over for the night' premise would have sufficed. I wish there had been a bit more sense of taboo. If you look at it positively, it's like a mature woman finally letting loose after being freed from an abusive husband. But even then, she holds all the power throughout the scenes, so there's no submissive vibe at all. The ending is also quite abrupt. If you want to see a sexy Eriko Miura and enjoy some dirty talk, you'll be satisfied. However, if you're looking for a tragic or taboo-filled 'sister-in-law' story, be warned—this isn't that kind of movie. Recommended for mature-woman fans with money to spare, those who like aggressive married women, or just to fill up a rental queue. It reminded me once again that Miura-san is elegant and beautiful.
