The scenes themselves aren't bad either. So why 4 stars? It leaves a bitter aftertaste, like a soccer match that ended in a draw when a landslide victory was expected. Maybe the bar was set too high because the casting and structure were so good. I want to see the 'correct' version of this pattern.
