It feels like a separate, isolated world. The live commentary is also effectively meaningless. It would have been better if they had directed it so the performers were more exposed to the customers through the mirror, but aside from a bit in episode 2, that rarely happens. They use vibes and money, but if the magic mirror and commentary don't matter, they could just be in a hotel. I actually watched this for Umi Hirose in episode 4, and I felt that strongly there. Personally, I think it would have been much better if every episode followed the 'boyfriend present' setup as the title suggests. Side note: Even though it's supposed to be invisible, I suspect the shop side can see everything due to the lighting. If you look closely, some people seem to be glancing at the scene. It feels like they are consciously acting as if they can't see or hear anything, which ironically might be part of what creates that sense of isolation.
