I grabbed Part 2 on sale first, and it was so good I immediately bought Part 1 too. The setup is seriously groundbreaking, totally different from any other 3P stuff I've seen, and really enjoyable. I won't spoil the content since everyone else has covered it, but I'm super glad I bought both parts! I usually start with Part 1, but I watched Part 2 first. While Miyon-san is great as Emi, I feel like Kohana-non's portrayal is closer to the original manga (so I docked half a star for that). I also bought the original manga, and while the story is the same, the artwork is rendered with a quality that rivals live-action – it was really moving. The manga also delves into the relationships and personalities of the three characters in ways the live-action doesn't, so I recommend checking it out. I don't know if Part 3 will happen, but I'm really curious about the casting for the next installment. Definitely a keeper!
