Nagae has always been a label that values artistry, and I was impressed by how much more expressive Hotaru-san and actor Sugiura-san have become. Was it inspired by being a Nagae work? The build-up of emotion towards the taboo subject of the father-in-law feels natural. When I first saw Hotaru-san, I thought she was a "stiff and a little scary girl," but her toned physique was attractive. I thought she might be prone to gaining weight, but after about 6 years since her debut, her figure seems to have gotten even better. I'm impressed by her effort... This is a masterpiece, I acknowledge it.

Rather than the title "Atonement," it's closer to the "Father-in-Law and Daughter-in-Law" of the existing Nagae series. The director is "Morikawa Kei," whom I personally don't know. Although it's the same title in the Nagae series, it's a different work from the works of Nagae, Fumiharu, and Tamaike Goro.
